Titikaca lake, a treasure full of wonders

View of the Titicaca Lake with its typical blue color near the Copacabana town. Lake Titicaca is one of the most beautiful lakes in South America. It is known as the highest navigable lake in the world and it is also the largest freshwater lake in this part of the world. It is also one of the most ancient lakes in the world with over than three million years of age. The lake has many islands that generate an exceptional view.  The lake is located between Bolivia and Peru and its altitude is over 3800 m above sea level and it covers 3200 square miles (8300 square km). The area is frequented by many tourists from all-over the world. The lake is known of having Inca ruins and also many interesting cultures like the Uros who live in artificial islands made of floating reeds as 'totora'. This is the month when the Earth Day  is celebrated and this celebration is aimed to increase awareness of the environment. From this blog we want to help showing the beauty of flowers that at the same time m ake a tribute to God . A s   Steve Irwin, the famous Crocodile Hunter , said with respect to wildlife: "T here is no way to love something if you do not know it".  And  through photos we can see details that although are sometimes close to us, we do not pay much attention to them . Wildlife closer than 300 ft (100 m) from my home

When one wants  a safari to watch wildlife , it is normal to think in Africa or in a faraway jungle or maybe in a remote place in the world.  This article wants  to show that this is not necessary , no matter where you live, if you take your time to search for, I am sure you will find  marvelous wildlife very close to you . Maybe they are  not as spectacular as the great beasts or animals , but they are very interesting and wonderful. Even in a city you can find many animals around us.   Santa Cruz de la Sierra , the city where I live is , particularly , a city that still has lots of wildlife despite its development and population growth (Santa Cruz has currently over 1.6 million inhabitants (2010 )). Because it is located  in the Amazon basin, it still has remnants of reinforest's wildlife . Maybe several animals are not in t he most appropriate conditions, but they are struggling for surviving.  Some show a great adaptation to changes
